Ever find yourself in a "mind fog"? You aren't alone. Stressful thoughts can clutter your mind and make it next to impossible to accomplish what needs to get done.
A clear head and a smooth thought process is key to achieving your ultimate journey in a timely manner. When the smoke clears, you can rest assured that your life will begin to fall into place. Everything you want won't always happen instantly, but with a little patience and persistence, your creativity is bound to explode. Deep breathing and relaxation is important for keeping your mind clear of negative thoughts and a cluttered mindset. Books are always good for this because they can shift your attention on something you enjoy. Getting lost in a good book is a great way to de-clutter your mind. Going for a walk is also fantastic. Find a nice quiet part, nature scene or country atmosphere to walk away your issues. And the obvious benefit is exercise, so it's like a double whammy. Exercise gets the endorphins going.

Every now and then, a little soul-searching is in order. When the outside world of material things and hyper-active thoughts bombard the individual, going deep within can dissolve some of these external issues.
Meditation is a great tool for letting go of the "suffocation" of normal life, and a fantastic way to relieve stress. Deep breathing is also very therapeutic and healing. Go deep inside from time to time to discover an inner world of space, creativity, simple living and peace. It does take some persistence and discipline, but is worth it in the long run. Let go of the things that are bogging you down in the normal existence of day to day life. Take a second to appreciate simple things like food, sex, music, pets and art. Going deep within for some soul-searching on a daily basis can really bring back perspective and let you realize your internal nature of bliss.
The "minimalist approach" as I like to call it, can be a very resolving action. Many, many outside influences, whether it be material, thought based or emotional - can be detrimental to your well being and sense of accomplishment. Clutter isn't good for anybody, and prevents most from being everything they could be.
"Spring cleaning" is healthy to clear out the negative energies so good thoughts can enter. There is nothing like the feeling of clarity and focus, especially when it comes to a goal you would like to achieve. Spend some time with nature and pets - those two buggers can tell us everything we need to know about ourselves and the worlds problems. It will put everything in perspective. Music is also great, along with incense and healthy eating. I like to eat a vegan diet (it's a lifestyle, not a diet) to feel my best. Grease, salt, fat, oils, processed foods, meat and dairy etc. can clog up the system and make it harder for your immune system to function properly. Keep it simple. Rice, potatoes, fruit, veggies - some nice music and an environment that smells pleasing can really enhance your experience and simplify your outlook on life. Simple things like these can be nurturing and motivational.
Ever feel stuck? Maybe you have a goal you are trying to achieve and it just doesn't pan out the way you want? Most of us have been there in some form or another.
Sometimes you feel like you have tried everything under the sun to achieve a reasonable or great life and it seems like every time you try something, it just doesn't work out. I suggest you focus on the present moment and cultivate awareness. Reaching for something outside of yourself isn't always the answer, many times the answer comes from within. By focusing on your immediate surroundings and internal being, you create a space where the creativity can "breathe". Give your ideas, thoughts, goals and reactions some room to move. By relaxing and letting go of negative thoughts and distractions, you make room for new life. Take a weekend doing nothing but letting deep ideas settle in. There will always be time for action once the clarity takes hold. Even starting this blog, I had to take some somewhat extreme measures by deleting some of my social media accounts so I could "de-clutter" my mind, letting go of distractions so I could focus on this project. It's an angry and negative world sometimes, especially with the current political environment being the way it is. With this being my first blog post, I am actually finding it relaxing and therapeutic doing this. So I want to thank everybody who joins me on this relaxing and fulfilling journey, please leave a comment below. - DH |
